Are there dolphins on the tours?

We have both dolphins and manatees!

Our lagoon is home to a thriving community of bottlenose dolphins, with a resident population ranging from 200 to 800 individuals. These dolphins are born here and choose to spend their entire lives in our beautiful waters. Additionally, we are fortunate to welcome a few hundred more dolphins who visit our lagoon from time to time, resulting in an impressive total of approximately 1,000 bottlenose dolphins in the area at any given moment.

Are there manatees on the tour?

During the height of late summer and early fall, our area is home to an impressive population of over 1,000 manatees. These gentle giants grace us with their presence for a remarkable 10-month span, from mid-February to mid-December.

As the temperature of the lagoon drops below 68°F, the majestic manatees migrate towards the inviting warmth of Florida's power plants and springs. During the months of December, January, and February the area may be graced by as few as 100 of these gentle giants.
